First game of the 2012-2013 season starts with a win
Our Lady & St Chad Sports College Mens 163-50Halesowen College Mens 1
The first quarter started with a plethora of mistakes from our lady and st. chads, with both teams exchanging the lead throughout the low scoring quarter. The end of the 1st quarter saw Halesowen take a narrow lead of 3 points (Halesowen 11:8 OLSC)
The second quarter saw our lady and st. chads preforming a lot better than the first quarter, OLSC showed a lot of drive in the second quarter exploiting most of Halesowen’s turnovers by punishing them on offence. OLSC scored over 3 times the amount they had scored first quarter and led at the end the half with a 12-point lead (Halesowen 10:25 OLSC).
The third quarter was much like the first quarter both teams had a host of turnovers; however both teams were failing to convert the turnovers into easy fastbreak points. Which led to another low scoring period with OLSC winning the quarter (Halesowen 11:12 OLSC).
Last quarter saw both teams come out with a lot of determination to make their last stands count. With both of the teams looking fatigued and OLSC being in foul trouble Halesowen had no problem in converting the fouls into points from the line; however the passionate OLSC did not give up and made sure that for every basket conceived by Halesowen, they had a reply on the other side of the floor. Which led to a tied last quarter (Halesowen 18:18 OLSC).
