OLSC Dance Academy
“Dedicated to bringing the joy of dance and a positive self image to every student through quality dance education”
The dance academy is for post 16 students who have an interest in performing and studying the art of dance. At the moment every Wednesday is a ‘day of dance’ where students come and take part in practical classes, developing their dance technique, repertoire of dance styles, performance and choreography skills. Alongside these practical classes the students study a Btec Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma in Performing Arts (Dance).
By having the extra technique classes, building the students range of dance styles and studying for a qualification, this will then allow the students to progress onto university or into a possible career as a dancer, a coach or even a teacher.

The current dancers are both male and female creating a good learning environment which is relaxed but productive, with good energy and a positive team relationship.
